Diary of a Sleeping Baby

Charlotte is now one week old. What a week it's been! Chuck and I and Charlotte are learning a lot about eachother and enjoying every minute of it. Thanks to all the help from Grandma Babs, the week has been relaxing and wonderful.

Charlotte has had two doctor appointments. The doctors say she is doing great and is now only 4 ounces away from her bith weight!

Of course, much of the week has been spent taking pictures and since Charlotte sleeps about 18 hours a day, most of our shots are of her in various sleeping positions and places...

Welcome to the World, Charlotte!

Chuck and I would like to introduce everyone to our perfectly beautiful daughter, Charlotte Jane. Charlotte was born Friday, March 14th at 11:04pm. My water broke around 5:30am that morning and Chuck and I headed off to the hospital. Eighteen hours later, little Charlotte arrived wide-eyed and perfect!

We've been at home for about 3 days now and are just enjoying getting to know our little girl (and sleeping whenever possible). Charlotte loves to be swaddled and held....she is a real cuddler! She is a good sleeper and has to be woken up at night to be fed.

Charlotte loves her Grandma, Babs! Chuck's mom came the day Charlotte was born and a has been helping us out at home. It is wonderful to have her here. She's the BEST!

Ready and Waiting!

With under two weeks until my official due date, Charlotte's room is finally ready for her arrival (and so are Chuck and I!). Chuck spent hours putting the crib together, while I supervised from the comfort of our bed in the next room. He did a great job.
I am still waiting on the rocker, which is scheduled to arrive this Friday, and I have a few more decorations for the walls, but all and all the nursery is ready and waiting for our special delivery to arrive.....Charlotte Jane!
