Meeting Grandpa

Charlotte was happy to meet her Grandpa last weekend! Grandpa and Grandma Linda arrived Friday afternoon and stayed til late Monday. We had a few days of nice weather. We took a couple walks around our neighborhood and went downtown Annapolis and toured the Naval Academy.

Grandpa found a new way to sooth little Charlotte when she cries: he makes a motorcycle engine sound and blows on her face...a simulated motorcycle ride! Don't get any ideas, Gramps!

Happy Birthday, Amelia!

Our favorite pup, Amelia, turned 4 years old on April 11. Amelia is the best dog and a very important part of our family....so HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMELIA!! We love you!

And what do you get the dog that has everything....a season pass to her favorite dog park, of course!

A Perfect Morning

This morning the whole family (including Amelia!) headed to Quiet Waters, a great park about 5 minutes from our house. The first stop was the dog park where Amelia ran around with about 30 other crazy dogs. From there we headed out on the trails near the water. The views were great and we even saw a HUGE osprey nest with two giant birds in it....very cool! After a nice walk around the park we stopped by our local coffee house for a leisurely cup of joe! Charlotte was all bundled up and slept the entire time. All and all is was the perfect morning!

New Friends

Yesterday our good friends Keith and Heather Greenaway came over to hang out with us. Keith and Heather have a new baby girl too, Kate. Precious little Kate is almost three months old and we just love her to pieces! This was the first time Charlotte and Kate met. As parents of these two little girls, we all have big plans for their budding friendship! We can only hope they become as good of friends as we are with Keith and Heather.

All Dressed Up!

It was a beautiful day in Annapolis today...70 degrees and sunny! After a nice afternoon walk, the whole family decided to go to our local Mexican restaurant, which has a great outdoor patio. Charlotte and I both finally got out of our comfy clothes and put on special outfits for dinner. I remember buying these cute little corduroy pants and flowered shirt for Charlotte while I was pregnant. It's so fun to see her wear them! She was a perfect angel at dinner, allowing Chuck and I a nice night out.

Random Samples

We've had lots of fun with Charlotte over the past two weeks. She is really a great little baby. She's a good eater and sleeper and is already growing out of some of her outfits! She hardly ever cries and when she does it's because she's hungry (or gassy!). She's sleeping in her crib now and wakes up just two times a night to eat. Here's a few pictures from our adventures of the last two weeks.

We've taken several walks in our neighborhood. We have lots of piers and places to look out on the Bay. We can't wait for the weather to get a little nicer so we can take advantage of our community beach!

I think Charlotte may inherit her Grandma Sue's love of books! This is her looking at her first book. She LOVES to look at this book, her eyes get big and wide and she really focuses on the patterns.

We are so happy to have Aunt Lisa here this week helping out and giving lots of love to Charlotte! We have been taking lots of walks, going on little outings, and even went downtown Annapolis to walk around one day.

Charlotte made her first trip out to a restaurant this week too! Lisa and Chuck and I enjoyed a nice lunch while our good little baby slept the entire time....she didn't make a peep. Looks like we'll be able to get out and about a little more!

First Bath

After nearly two weeks and no bath we thought it was time to bath our little babe. Amazingly, she put up with the whole process without much screaming.....until the very end when she was probably just too cold to take it anymore. Her favorite part was being wrapped up in her warm towel when it was all over. Aunt Lisa was there to help out this first-time-Mom, and Dad caught it all on video tape and camera. It looks like Charlotte may have inherited my curly hair too....when it was wet it seemed to be pretty curly :)
