Sweet, Sweet Friendship

I hope all of you have a friend like my friend Lindsay. She's funny, smart, interesting, and down-to-earth (plus, she gave me a sweet haircut on my back deck today!). Lindsay and I have known each other for over 15 years (yikes!). We were college roomies at BG and then went our separate ways (me to the East Coast and her to Miami, FL). Fate and luck recently brought us back together. Lindsay now lives in Washington, DC. We have gotten to hang out more in the last two months then in the past 8 years.....but with Lindsay it's just like it always was....fun and comfortable :)

Cuteness

I couldn't resist sharing this super cute picture of Charlotte. She's all ready for Fall...with her cap and sweater! This sweater was actually handmade by my friend at work (thanks, Kirstin!!).

A Day on the Bay

Saturday we spent a lovely afternoon and evening at our friends Jenn & Steve's beautiful Bay side home. The setting was amazing and the day could not have been prettier. Steve steamed up bushels and bushels of Maryland crabs for all us to enjoy. YUMM! We loved relaxing on their beach and making S'mores over the bonfire.

Thanks a bunch to the Klarman's for a perfect day on the Bay!

Charlotte's first experience with sand. She was intrigued! Loved squishing it around with her hands and feet.

Good Friends

It was so nice to see our good friends Angelica and Dave and their sweet little girl, Ella, last weekend. They live in Washington, DC and drove out to Annapolis for the day, to see our new house and get the little girls together. I always enjoy hanging out with Angelica (and Dave too!). Little Ella (well, I shouldn't say little, she's just about as big as Charlotte who is 3 months older!), is a sweet, sweet baby. I love her big bright eyes and dark hair....she's a beauty (just like her mom!).

Sweeeeet Potatoes

Charlotte enjoyed feeding herself tonight. I don't think very much actually made it in her mouth....but it sure was fun! She loved mashing them all over. I could have watched her work on these potatoes for hours, it was so funny!

Happy Six Month Birthday, Charlotte!

Baby Photo Shoot

Here's a few outtakes from this mornings photoshoot....

We Heart Amelia

Amelia has not been getting much face time on our family blog, not because she isn't an important and MUCH loved part of our family. We love Amelia!! Over the past couple months Charlotte and Amelia have become buddies. Amelia can ALWAYS get a smile and a laugh out of Charlotte. Charlotte squeals with joy when we help her "pet" Amelia (I'll have to get this on video and post it, stay tuned!). I see a long and happy friendship between these two! The best is yet to come for Amelia....just wait until the Cheerios start falling off the highchair....

It's hard enough to get a baby to pose, let alone a dog and a baby...but here's our best shots.

Amelia loves to kiss/lick Charlotte. Charlotte puts up with it very well. She gets a look of disgust on her face but never cries, just lets Amelia do her thing!

First Sleepover

Chuck has been in Seattle for the past five nights. As it turns out my friend Heather's husband was also away on business. Heather invited Charlotte and I over for a sleepover! Heather's daughter, Kate, is just two months older than Charlotte. We had so much fun hanging out.....playing on the floor, going for walks, and out to lunch the next day. Nikki and little Sophia stopped over too! It was fun to have all the little girls together.

"Reading" a book together.

In the morning in their PJs!

Solid foods!

Charlotte has been testing out some new tastes! So far we have tried carrots (pictured below), sweet potatoes, oatmeal, bananas, and other various fruits (her favorite so far is mangoes!). She hasn't turned her nose up at anything....yet. We haven't tried peas, or other green veggies, so we'll see. Up next....avocados!

Sitting Pretty

Charlotte has pretty much mastered sitting on her own. She may still tumble over once and awhile, but most of the time she's pretty steady.
