First 1st Birthday Party

It's hard to believe but this weekend we celebrated our friends Keith and Heather's little girl Kate's 1st birthday. Kate was the first of the babies to be born in 2008 out of our group of four pregnancies last year. This means Charlotte's 1st birthday is next.....just two months away!

Keith & Heather had a great little party and all of the baby girls were there to help Kate celebrate being 1. Heather even bought all the girls tutus to wear for the party. See Charlotte in her PJ's and tutu below :) Chuck, Charlotte and I spent the night at Keith & Heathers since they live about an hour away. It was a great to see our friends that we haven't seen in awhile and celebrate a sweet little girls very first birthday!!

Napping?

Does this look like a napping baby to you? Charlotte is usually a great little napper, lately she has been "playing" in her crib before falling asleep (throwing things out of her crib, and even taking down the pictures on the wall!). She eventually falls asleep though.

How could I ever be mad at this little smiling face!

Happy Ten Month Birthday, Charlotte!

Best Dog Friends

Amelia has a best dog friend. Her name is Kelly. She is a shiny, sweet Golden Retriever belonging to our friends Ivy & Nancy from Richmond, VA. Kelly comes up to visit now and than and Amelia has stayed with Kelly in Richmond a few times while Chuck and I have traveled. Kelly and Amelia are buds. The love creating all kinds of craziness while they are together. And Amelia has been known to jump in the car with Kelly when they are getting ready to leave and go back to Richmond.

Amelia was lucky to have Kelly here last night to play with and ring in the New Year with (although both were sleeping soundly by 10pm).

Charlotte loves dogs! I mean really loves them. She squeals with excitement whenever she sees one. She was as happy as can be to have two dog visitors over the holidays. Kelly the dog loves to give Charlotte kisses. Charlotte tolerates it quite well. She takes the kisses with a little bit of a disgusted look on her face, but never let's out a cry about it!

Uncles are Fun!

Charlotte had tons of fun with Chuck's brothers, Pete & Dallas, while they were here for Christmas. She warmed right up to her Uncle Pete & Uncle Dallas. She especially liked sitting on Uncle Dallas's back and touch his beard and giving kisses to Uncle Pete and laughing at his silly games.

Christmas morning

Our first Christmas with Charlotte was just as sweet as we expected....more so, actually. Charlotte didn't really know what all the fuss was about leading up to Christmas, but she certainly seemed to realize that Christmas Day was special. She woke up to several surprises under the tree. The cutest thing was her opening her gifts. She would squeal with excitement at each gift and then lean down to bury her face in it and hug it (see picture below!). It was really darling! Of course she was very spoiled with gifts from all her aunts, uncles and Grandma Babs, who were all there to share her first Christmas with us.

Waking up to see that Santa indeed had come.

Fun with tissue paper!Hugging her gifts.

Exploring her new Learning Home toy from Mom & Dad. She loves it!
A special Christmas book from who else but......AUNT KELLEY!
