Say What?

Charlotte has always been a little babbler. She's taken the babbling to a whole new level lately and seems to have created her own language. Now she thinks we actually understand what she is saying and will carry on quite a little conversation with you. We're dying to know what she is actually trying to tell us!

Latest Tricks

I was in Chicago over Valentine's Day, so Chuck and Charlotte celebrated with out me. Chuck got Charlotte a balloon which she LOVES! She quickly learned how to pull the balloon down by its string. Watch the fancy hand-over -hand technique. It is adorable to see, she does it so carefully and diliberately.

When you ask Charlotte to "make a silly face", this is what you get.....

Charlotte discovered that she can climb up (about 3 inches off the ground!) on her toy. She thinks this is just the most fabulous thing ever. She'll step up there and just stand for 15 minutes or so, as happy as can be!

Charlotte is wear barrettes now....there's not too much hair up there, but I couldn't resist. She looks so much older with them in her hair!

Music Classs

This winter I signed Charlotte up for a "music" class at the local arts center in Annapolis. I use the term music class loosely! The class was for babies from 0 - 18 months and was ever Friday for 10 weeks. It was some what of a free for all, but Charlotte loved it. She loved watching the teacher play musical instruments and listening to her sing. Plus we danced, read books, got to meet a lot of other nice moms in the area. On the last day of class one of the moms took a few pictures of our class and all the "students" with their teacher.

An Afternoon in Annapolis

It was a beautiful day today, the second 60 degree day in February that we've had so far! We headed to downtown Annapolis for a walk along the docks. Charlotte enjoyed watching all the people from the comfort of her stroller. We also stopped and had lunch at a yummy sushi restaurant. Charlotte was the hit of the restaurant. The owner gave Char a special Japanese rice-crispy like treat, which she loved. All of the waitresses were playing with her too. After lunch we stopped at the park and Charlotte had a little fun in the swing. She really was laughing and loving swinging. It was a great afternoon!

Winter Fun

Even though we haven't had much snow this winter, we're all still feeling a little bit of cabin fever. Just yesterday I was dreaming of being able to go outdoors to play with Charlotte & Amelia. And what do you know, we wake up today to a beautiful day, sunny and 55 degrees! Needless to say we all headed outdoors for a change. I know February will turn cold again, but being able to get a little fresh air today will surely get us through til March.

Below are some pictures of some of the activities that have been keeping us entertained this winter, along with a few from our February afternoon playing OUTSIDE!!

Charlotte and Amelia are starting to play together. Chuck and I think this is great because now we can sit back and relax while they entertain each other.

The box from Charlotte's new car seat (she's in a toddler seat...sniff, sniff) provided a few hours of fun this weekend. Charlotte loved throwing things in the box and then getting in the box herself and throwing everything out.

We all enjoyed some much needed fresh air today! Charlotte crawled around on the driveway (grass was too wet), watched Daddy play basketball, and then went immediately in to the tub to wash all the grime off.
